Pantene holds interactive training workshops for PHABA members

Lahore, May 12, 2009: Procter & Gamble, manufacturer of leading hair care and beauty shampoo Pantene in association with Pakistan Hairdressers and Beauticians’ Association (PHABA) organized a one day interactive training workshop with a ‘Cut, Colour and Style’ theme for all PHABA members at a local hotel today. Over the years, PHABA and Pantene have undertaken various initiatives to improve the technical know-how of local hairstyling professionals and have kept them abreast with the latest developments in hair science, hair care and styling techniques. This enables them to adapt to the changing times and maintain their competitive edge in the face of an ever evolving cut-throat industry.

Ruhana Iqbal, President PHABA, popularly known as Bhabi, was Incharge of the training sessions and gave an inspiring introductory speech after which she along with a team of three leading beauticians conducted the training. The training was highly informative and encompassed an in-depth explanation of the hygiene standards that need to be met with and the protocol to be followed while dealing with clients on a day to day basis. Also incorporated in the training were impressive live demos of the latest hair cutting and styling methods as well as make up techniques prevalent in the industry globally.

The training sessions witnessed huge participation from all the members of the association as well as other renowned beauticians and hair experts. Expressing her views on the trainings, Bhabi said “Hygiene should become a principle of maintaining cleanliness and grooming to sustain high standards of client care.” She further added, “We are extremely thankful to Pantene for helping us in organizing such events as this helps in increasing the self esteem and confidence of the local stylists and maximizes their delivery of perfection”.

"Pantene is committed to the development of the hair care industry in Pakistan. With Bhabi’s assistance we regularly shape training sessions by renowned local and international stylists with an increased emphasis on new and cutting edge trends in the industry to give it the necessary boost." said Manager External Relations, P&G Pakistan, Najia Amin.
