Always - changing the future of young girls

Karachi - November 12, 2012: Always, the leading brand in feminine hygiene recently announced winners for the second Always Raho Tayyar Scholarship Program. This year, Always committed to touch and improve lives of even more Pakistani girls by doubling the number of scholarships provided. Around 100 deserving young girls were able to invest Rs. 25,000 each in their education to build a brighter future for themselves.

The Raho Tayyar scholarship program encourages young girls to aspire for academic growth, helping them embrace their uniqueness and individual strengths. The program invites success stories from girls across Pakistan, who wish to participate in the competition. These success stories are narratives of personal achievements from their everyday lives which display confidence, determination and passion.

Always has partnered with The Little Arts, a non-profit organization, for the short-listing and selection of the winning success stories. Expressing his thoughts about this campaign, Shoaib Iqbal, Director, The Little Arts said, "We received an overwhelming 600 applications from girls in schools, colleges and universities nationwide. It was heartening to read such passionate accounts filled with inspiration and determination. The Little Art focuses on the promotion of creative expression especially among young girls. It is great that Always is reaching out to these young girls on such a personal level. Scholarships like these can make a significant difference at encouraging young girls in our community to pursue education in order to develop self-confidence and believe in themselves and their ability to achieve their dreams and ambitions."

On this subject, Always Brand Operations Integration Manager, Maheen Hasan, said, "This initiative is part of the Always Education Program - Aagahi. Every year the Always Aagahi program reaches thousands of young girls in schools and colleges across the country with essential health and hygiene education." She added, "to date more than 6 million girls have been empowered with awareness and knowledge to lead a healthy lifestyle and cope with the pressures, demands and changes they face whilst growing up."
