Special Children learn about Health and Hygiene with P&G brands

Karachi, November 20, 2013: P&G and Special Olympics teams in Pakistan came together to organize a fun-filled carnival at the PAF Museum, providing special children the opportunity to experience a day of enjoyment while learning valuable lessons in health and hygiene.

Over 450 special children participated in the carnival which featured lots of exciting activities, fun games, a magic show, as well as an arts and movie corner. The morning was spent enjoying games such as jumping castles, pin the donkey tail, ring toss and bowling. The highlight of the games was the Dirtoo Showdown, inspired by the Commander Safeguard movie animation. Most of the children were excited to get their faces painted by P&G volunteers. Come afternoon, the children engaged the audience with back to back performances including song, dance and a gripping impersonation act of a ‘cricket commentary’. During the day, children were taught the important steps of handwashing at the Safeguard Handwashing Stations and were given souvenirs including Commander Safeguard story books and figurines, which will be a constant reminder of the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

“P&G is committed to improving everyday health and confidence for people in need. This is one of the important ways though which we can achieve our Company Purpose of touching and improving lives. We believe in instilling healthy habits amongst children, from an early age so that they can grow up to be agents of change,” said Maheen Hasan, Brand Manager Household Care Category, P&G Pakistan.
