Skin exfoliation:
(a) only a little product is needed; (b) the cream is
applied carefully but thoroughly; (c) the removal of dead
squames or cells leaves the skin feeling smooth.
Skin exfoliators:
These gently and effectively remove dead cells from
the skin's surface by mechanical means, thus removing
surface debris. Skin exfoliation is suitable for greasy or normal
skin, but should be used with caution on dry or
sensitive skin. If in doubt seek professional skin
care advice.
Treating
the feet with pumice - a traditional method
of removing dead squames from the soles of
the
feet by gentle abrasion. Here the stratum
corneum is at its thickest. This remains a
popular method of
removing excessive dead skin.
