2007 North American Animal Welfare and Alternatives Awards
|
Applications are sought for awards of U.S. $25,000 in each of the following categories.
- Alternatives: In recognition of contributions to the research and development of alternative methods or research in toxicology and mechanistic risk assessment that result in reduced animal use;
- Welfare: In recognition of contributions to laboratory science or education related to improvements in animal welfare; and
- Local Community Initiative: To assist community organizations that promote animal welfare
The three awards are funded by Procter & Gamble. Selection of the recipients will be undertaken by a panel nominated by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and Procter & Gamble.
