We have recently introduced a corporate cause, P&G Live, Learn and Thrive, that focuses on improving life for children in need around the world, ages 0-13. While this cause comes to life through local programs around the world every day, the focal effort of this initiative is our Children's Safe Drinking Water program that utilizes our PURŪ Purifier of Water technology.

P&G is working with a variety of partners to bring the PUR water purifying technology to the developing world. Our goal is to reduce the sickness and death that result from drinking contaminated water. The Children's Safe Drinking Water program includes not-for-profit social marketing and emergency relief components. To date, we have provided more than 500 million liters of safe drinking water by working with our partners. We are establishing sustained social markets in a number of countries, with current programs in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Uganda, Kenya, and Pakistan.
