Message from Irwin Lee, UK P&G Ireland Vice President & Managing Director
I’m delighted to introduce you to P&G UK’s first e-newsletter, Inside P&G, offering an insight into everything that is going on at P&G in the UK and around the world.
On Mother’s Day weekend, we began advertising to consumers for the first time in the UK as the company behind their favourite brands Ariel, Pampers and Fairy, to name but a few. Our consumers expect transparency, authenticity and honesty from the brands that they are purchasing and we want to ensure those same values are communicated to you - our associates, partners and stakeholders throughout the UK.
Each quarter, Inside P&G will bring you the inside track on our iconic, innovative brands and corporate initiatives. We will hear from the important people that drive these initiatives as well as learn about the thinking behind them and the true value they are adding to lives around the world. Every issue will feature insight pieces from our partners, associates and teams on issues and trends which we hope you will find interesting and useful.
As well as our new advertising we launched Gillette Fusion ProGlide, our biggest brand unveiling in UK history; expanded our support of the Teach First initiative into the North East of England; provided our three billionth litre of clean safe drinking water in Rwanda and continued helping to save the lives of mothers and children through our partnership with UNICEF to provide tetanus vaccinations.
With our global Olympics partnership and London 2012 less than 500 days away, we’ve certainly hit the ground running. We have high expectations of ourselves at P&G, as I hope you do, and I look forward to bringing you news of our latest efforts to improve more people’s lives, more completely.
