Almost ten years with P&G and why am I still part of the team? The reason is quite simple! P&G has given me the opportunity to develop professionally and personally, something very few companies offer today. P&G’s attitude towards career growth and the value system of “promotion from within” ensures that if I do well, I can definitely go all the way to the top. I never understood what people meant by “P&G is a training school” until I joined the company. It’s unbelievable how much time and resources the company spends on training its people in technical and soft skills which helps us excel in the corporate environment. In all my time here, I have traveled to over 15 countries, including a year spent completely in training! P&G is definitely an experience and I love every moment of it!

Job Title: Group Manager
Function: Finance
University: Institute of Business Administration (IBA)
Degree: Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
It was really tricky at graduation time, receiving offers from banks, financial institutions, and brokerage houses which seemed like a dream for any finance graduate. However, joining P&G has been the best career decision of my life. The breadth of experience has been so fulfilling for a hard-core finance graduate like me; I’ve done treasury, funds management, business direction setting, financial planning, impacting the shareholders’ value and project analysis, amongst many other things! It’s been amazing getting hands-on exposure to real-world issues. A great part of the P&G experience is also the exposure I get working on a global level with other countries as well as participating in P&G finance trainings and colleges all over the world! It’s like working, learning and having fun all at the same time!

Working at P&G is like running an obstacle race. You never know what you’re going to have to jump over or climb under or swim through next. It’s like having to navigate through a treasure hunt map: You have to decode lots of clues, you have to scramble to get seemingly impossible things done, and you need to work with other people who are all running their own race at the same time. I’ve been here for a short time, but I’ve already done things I’ve always dreamed of doing: I’m organizing exciting events and I’ve learned how to speak several different languages — such as the language of marketing, which is very different from the language of the doctors with whom we have partnerships. I’ve worked with people as diverse as catchy abadi children to radio-show producers and squash champions and i’ve only just begun.

Job Title: Market Planning Manager
Function: Customer Services
University: Institute of Business Administration (IBA)
Degree: Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
While pursuing my MBA, I never thought supply chain could be a career for me, but standing here today I know I couldn’t have been anywhere else. It’s been a roller-coaster ride, and it has been unpredictable and exciting, fulfilling, dynamic and yes, challenging! But I can bet there’s no experience anywhere else with this sort of spice mix! The best part is if I give my best, I get the best in return; what more can one ask for? And then there is the learning part, which starts with building relationships with P&G colleagues across the globe and goes to collaborating with my team in analyzing inventories, consumption and market trends to actually stepping into the market for trade visits! Being at P&G has made me feel I am part of something big, something that is larger than life. I feel I am contributing my share in every bottle or soap bar that gets sold!

Job Title: Associate Consumer Market Knowledge Manager
Function: Consumer Market Knowledge (CMK)
University: Lahore University of Management & Sciences (LUMS)
Degree: Bachelors in Sciences (Honors)
Working at P&G has been an experience in which I have learned to unleash my true potential. When you graduate, different people will tell you different things to look for in a company, but no one will tell you that the best way to learn is by working with the best. This is exactly what I discovered at P&G. What P&G offers are the two basic rights of each employee: the best talent in town to work with coupled with the best working environment, where all that matters is what you have done! While you work with the best talent in the best environment, Consumer Market Knowledge gives you an opportunity to shape the future of million-dollar brands. You are looked upon as a consumer expert from day one and are challenged every day to drive strategic choices based on superior consumer and market understanding.
