P&G Philippines Unveils New Offices


Procter & Gamble Philippines today unveils its new head office in Makati, which promises to be a one-of-its-kind workplace in the country that provides a creative work environment to boost employee morale and productivity.

The new office concept is consistent with P&G's goal to be the "Greatest of All Time" workplace for its employees and people who aspire to be part of the multinational company.

The newly renovated office, located on the 20th and 21st floors of 6750 Ayala, has the Wellness Alley that consists of a Bicycle Room, Massage Room and Yoga Room, which are intended to enable employees to relax or have meetings in a unique set-up.

P&G is also the first workplace in the country to set up a rejuvenating room with state-of-the-art amenities such as a Sleep Pod, which is the first and only in the Philippines, and an Oxygen Bar. Also called the "energy pod," the Sleep Pod is actually designed for modern offices, and is to be used by tired and weary employees who want to take a power nap in the middle of a stressful day. The Oxygen Bar is to rejuvenate a worker with a breath of pure oxygen.

P&G's meeting rooms are also conceptualized to inspire and excite the senses with such themes as Everest Room, Dart Room, Game Room, Mirror Room, White Room (where you can write anywhere on the walls), People Power Room, and the Abacus Room. Posters of the world's greatest icons also adorn the employees' work area.

P&G Philippines President Jim Lafferty said that average workers spend most of their time at work rather than home. Thus, in terms of physical environment, the office or workplace has the single largest impact upon each employee.

"As we believe that our most important asset is our people, we have strived to create an office environment that challenges the senses, embodies the cultural statements we want to embrace, and creates an inspiring environment which contributes to making our work more enjoyable," Lafferty said.

"We want our great people to think and reflect, to be challenged, to be provoked in new and different ways," he added. "This is the nature of inspiration!"
