P&G's purpose is to improve the everyday lives of the world's consumers. We fulfill this purpose in many ways: through P&G brands, first and foremost, but also through our support of humanitarian, educational and social cause efforts.
P&G recently adopted a corporate cause — P&G Live, Learn and Thrive™. The aim of P&G Live, Learn and Thrive is to help children in need, ages 0-13, live by ensuring a healthy start; to provide them with places, tools and programs to enhance their ability to learn; and to help them develop skills for life so they can thrive.

Education

Since 1994, P&G Canada has been an active supporter of Junior Achievement® in Toronto. Junior Achievement is an organization dedicated to making a difference for children by equipping them with skills for life. P&G supports multiple Junior Achievement programs: Economics of Staying in School, Diversity in Action, Dream Big and the Company Program. Last year, nearly 150 P&G employees in Toronto spent time in school classrooms around the city, reaching more than 2,000 students and teaching them the importance of staying in school, appreciating differences in each other and setting goals for success. To more closely align the Junior Achievement partnership with P&G Live, Learn and Thrive, P&G is focusing on children who are at risk for dropping out of school. P&G Canada will continue with this effort and is even planning to expand to help local youth value and plan for their future.

Being There for Kids

Kids Help Phone provides the immediate help and hope that kids in Canada need and deserve in order to Live, Learn and Thrive. The trained, professional counselors have connected with millions of young people who are dealing with complex issues such as bullying, self-harm, abuse, peer relationships and much more.
P&G is committed to building this relationship with Kids Help Phone as their services continue to grow to meet the ever-changing needs of children and youth in Canada.

Food Banks

P&G donates surplus products to Food Banks Canada for efficient distribution to their member food banks that assist the needy across Canada.
P&G contributes annual product donations worth approximately $1 million including laundry detergents, household cleaners, paper products and more.
In-Kind/Product Donations
We receive many requests for products or product samples, but it is not possible to take part in all of the opportunities brought to our attention. There is no fair way to select some groups without denying others that equally deserve. P&G research has shown that the best way to donate available products to charitable organizations is through Food Banks Canada. Food Banks Canada is the most capable agency to handle this as it has the facilities, organization and training required to distribute significant quantities of donated products to nonprofit agencies across Canada.
Therefore, it is now our practice to decline requests for complimentary or discount products, and donate all available products to Food Banks Canada for distribution to their member food banks.
